GRAMMY award-winning South African artist Zakes Bantwini lands on Anjunadeep with ‘Impatient / You Never Know’, featuring Sun-El Musician, kisskisskiss and Jordan Arts.

A true pioneer of South Africa’s global Afro house movement, Zakes Bantwini has spent over two decades shaping the sound of modern African electronic music. A GRAMMY Award winner for ‘Best Global Performance’ in 2023 via his collaboration ‘Bayethe’ with Nomcebo Zikode and Wouter Kellerman, Zakes has built one of the most celebrated catalogues in the genre with tens of millions of streams, spearheaded by global hit ‘Osama’ with Kasango surpassing 60 million streams across platforms while spending 14 consecutive weeks at #1 on South African radio. The growth of his influence has not slowed, with 2026 seeing the launch of the Zakes Bantwini Foundation and performances spanning New York, Bali and major South African events under his own Mayonie Productions brand.

On ‘Impatient’, Zakes reunites with fellow South African star Sun-El Musician, one of the country’s most successful artists of the streaming era. Best known for defining records like ‘Akanamali’, Sun-El’s catalogue includes numerous RiSA-certified multi-platinum releases, while his recent Red Bull Symphonic South Africa headline performance at Johannesburg’s 10,000-cap Montecasino Outdoor Events Area further cemented his status as a true cultural force. The track features vocals from new artist kisskisskiss. ‘You Never Know’ sees Zakes collaborate with South African-born, London-based producer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Jordan Arts. A rising talent already supported by the likes of David Guetta, Paul van Dyk and Lane 8, Jordan has performed at major events including Ultra South Africa and Durban’s Anywhere In Your City festival.
