The alias of Berlin-based, Texas-born producer Adam Ansley, dj poolboi is widely recognised as one of the defining figures of the mid-2010s lo-fi house movement. Emerging online in the late 2010s with a series of emotional, nostalgia-tinged productions, his unique blend of melancholic melodies, hazy textures and understated grooves quickly found a global audience. His iconic remix of Yung Lean’s ‘Agony’ became a viral sensation, recently surpassing 7 million YouTube views, alongside original tracks including ‘i had it all’ and ‘leave here’ which have collectively amassed millions more plays. Across his catalogue, dj poolboi has now accumulated over 50 million global streams.

Since his early internet breakthrough, Adam has continued to evolve his sound while remaining a key figure in the underground electronic scene. With influences spanning Four Tet, Caribou and Jamie xx, his emotive approach has earned support from artists including Ross From Friends, DJ Seinfeld and Chaos in the CBD, alongside an official remix for Moby and airplay from BBC Radio 1 and KCRW. Recent years have seen him bring his distinctive live show to stages across Europe and North America, including Piknic Électronik Montreal, Munich, Paris and London’s Jazz Cafe.
