Planet Of Souls rework Jody Wisternoff and Sian Evans’ Anjunadeep classic ‘The Bridge’ into a sweeping, strings-led cinematic revisit, 

A longstanding member of the Anjuna family, Jody Wisternoff is celebrated for his emotive, club-ready productions and melodic sensibility. Having toured extensively across Europe, North America and Asia, Wisternoff has become a defining figure within the Anjunadeep catalogue. The original version of ‘The Bridge’, featuring the unmistakable vocals of Sian Evans, was released in 2015 and quickly became a fan favourite, praised for its lush arrangements, subtle nods to classic UK electronic music, and understated dancefloor drive.

Planet Of Souls is the collaborative project of producers Paul Rogers and Tom Barlow, created to merge heartfelt songwriting with cinematic electronic soundscapes. Drawing on a shared love of analog synths and ’90s/’00s electronica, their sound takes cues from Jon Hopkins, Massive Attack, RY X and The Chemical Brothers. Though newly formed, both artists bring decades of experience, with Rogers having worked alongside UNKLE, Sasha, Pete Tong and Gorillaz, and Barlow releasing on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat, earning praise from Carl Cox. Early Planet Of Souls releases have received support from BBC Radio 1, NOTION and DMY, with their track ‘One’ also featured in Netflix’s The Survivor, which reached #2 globally earlier this year.

Planet Of Souls’ revisit reframes the track through a more cinematic lens, introducing rich string arrangements and expansive atmospheres that heighten its emotional impact while honouring the soul of the original. 

Speaking on the Revisit, Planet Of Souls said:

“Jody’s music has always resonated deeply with us and we’ve been friends and fans for years. When he remixed ‘One’, it felt like a full-circle moment, and it inspired us to ask if we could reinterpret one of his own classics, ‘The Bridge’. That record has such a timeless sound, the string chord progression, the vocal and hooks are so strong. So rather than reinvent it, we wanted to honour it. We recorded live strings in Italy for it, expanded the melodies, and tried to let it bloom into something cinematic while keeping its soul untouched, we hope we did it justice”
