Berlin-based DJ, producer and composer Nils Hoffmann brings us the remixes for his latest album, ‘Running In A Dream’, featuring remixes from AVAION, Simon Doty, Willo and Jon Gurd.
Kicking off the EP is fellow German multi-instrumentalist AVAION with his remix of ‘Lonely’. AVAION is a certified Gold and Platinum producer who has seen incredible viral success in the past year, racking up over 300m streams and 500m views across streaming and short-form video platforms. He offers a fresh take on one of Nils’ more emotional tracks, switching up the melody and converting the track into his usual danceable yet deep and hypnotising style.
Anjunadeep’s resident club anthem maestro Simon Doty takes to ‘Closer’, bringing his signature bouncy kicks and basslines while keeping the record equally as euphoric and uplifting as the original. Last year Simon released his debut album ‘Universal Language’ on Anjunadeep which reached #1 on the iTunes Dance Chart in the USA and received support from the likes of Pete Tong, Diplo and Gorgon City.
Up-and-coming Australian DJ/producer Willo gives ‘Next Life’ an energy boost, cranking up the tempo to 140bpm and sprinkling ravey breakbeats throughout the track. A regular at club nights and festivals across Sydney and Melbourne, Willo’s talent was identified early on by Australian independent label Future Classic, home to household names like Flume, SOPHIE and Flight Facilities.
Closing out the EP, album title track ‘Running In A Dream’ is revisited by fellow Anjunadeep artist Jon Gurd who gives the record a new haunting and stripped back feel with a dark bassline and plenty of echo and reverb on Vancouver Sleep Clinic’s vocals. A regular on Anjunadeep, Jon has released two albums on the label including ‘Phoenix’ which gained praise from tastemakers including Joris Voorn, Ida Engberg and Eelke Kleijn.
‘Running In A Dream’, Nils Hoffmann’s third studio album, has garnered over 16m streams across platforms since its release in early February 2024. Nils received far reaching global support from the likes of BBC Radio 1 and SiriusXM Chill and is about to embark on phase two of his global album tour.
