Tokyo-born sound artist and master engineer Chihei Hatakeyama reimagines ‘Variation (vi)’, a standout track from Ibiza-based producer and composer Mark Barrott’s latest album, ‘The Exit Diaries’.

Hatakeyama's rework deepens the atmosphere of the track, foregrounding the haunting, echoing vocals that weave through the original. “It immediately sparked ideas for a remix.” he explains. “The entire process was incredibly enjoyable, and it brought fresh discoveries that differ from working solo.”
