Someday, Sara

Australian producer, live act and DJ Alex Albrecht arrives on Anjunadeep.

One half of live electronic group Albrecht La’Brooy, Alex has been releasing music for over a decade and is the co-founder of Melbourne-based independent record label Analogue Attic. He is best known for his forward-thinking productions that explore the dreamy and lush side of electronic music, which often include his own field recordings and evoke a strong sense of place.

Alex’s latest extended project, ‘Someday, Sara’, is no different. In his own words, “the record draws on my habit of recording the environments around me. This could be the sounds of the bush during a walk in the morning, the chatter of a train station, or strange mechanical textures; [these sounds] are usually the foundation of my work…the overall feeling [of the record] is deeply inspired by the Australian bush - expansive, dreamlike, and filled with both natural beauty and a sense of mystery”.
