Nearly 10 years in the making, Cristoph, Pete Tong and Paul Rogers team up for the official release of ‘Where’s The Music Gone’.
Originally released as a free download on Pete’s SoundCloud in 2011, Cristoph’s mighty ‘Private Edit’ first surfaced in 2017 played during his takeover of Eric Prydz’s EPIC Radio show. An official UK Album Charts #1 for Pete, a UK Top 40 single for Cristoph and hundreds of millions of streams later between the three artists, the record has finally found its home on Anjunadeep.
Known by many as one of the leading global ambassadors for dance and electronic music, Pete Tong is a DJ and producer best known for his over 30-year long stint at BBC Radio 1 where he is a host of the ‘Essential Mix’ programme. Outside his radio career, Pete has made numerous appearances in the Official UK Compilation Charts with ‘The Annual’ and ‘Essential Selection’ series, as well as touring his incredibly successful ‘Ibiza Classics’ show with Jules Buckley and the Essential Orchestra, which returns to the O2 Arena in London for two nights in December 2024.
Cristoph is a DJ and producer from Newcastle who was first recognised as a future star by Hot Since 82, later going on to receive support from dance music icon Eric Prydz who he still has a close relationship with today. Following early releases on Defected Records and Knee Deep In Sound, Cristoph collaborated with CamelPhat in 2018 on ‘Breathe’, released via Prydz’s Pryda Presents, which went on to achieve BPI certified Gold status and has done over 113m streams.
Currently based in Sydney, Paul Rogers is an Australian producer, composer and sound designer who worked at Ministry of Sound at the start of his career and then later joined forces with Pete Tong as his producer, music supervisor and tour manager. Together they released five singles/EPs across Toolroom and Defected, created music for the Harry Brown: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, and co-produced Radio 1’s Ibiza Prom show at the Royal Albert Hall.
‘Where’s The Music Gone’ represents 10 years of electronic music history and is the quintessential sound of early morning Ibiza sunrises, a place where all three artists spent years honing their craft. A 2010s classic given a tasteful modern refresh, ‘Where’s The Music Gone’ is out Tuesday 2nd July on Anjunadeep.
