Asman

Anyasa returns to Anjunadeep with ‘Asman’ featuring Samad Khan, alongside announcing his upcoming ‘Vihana EP’.

Indian DJ and producer Anish Sood first introduced his Anyasa alias to Anjunadeep in 2021 with the ‘Gaya EP’, becoming the first Indian artist to sign with the label. Inspired by his roots, the project brings together Indian classical vocals and instrumentation with contemporary melodic house, establishing a distinctive sound that has continued to evolve across three subsequent EPs. His work has earned coverage from Mixmag and Rolling Stone India, recognition as one of DJ Mag’s emerging artists to watch in 2021, and support from tastemakers including Maceo Plex, Joris Voorn and Marsh. Alongside his own releases, Anyasa has also delivered standout remixes for Eelke Kleijn and Marsh.

Leading the ‘Vihana EP’ campaign is ‘Asman’ featuring vocalist Samad Khan. Translating from Sanskrit as ‘dawn’, ‘Vihana’ evokes early mornings and new beginnings, a fitting sentiment for a project with artwork that captures Anish on the shores of Goa at sunrise. Across his music, Anyasa continues to draw on the cultural richness of his roots while shaping it into an emotive, contemporary electronic sound.

‘Asman’ from Anyasa featuring Samad Khan is out now, and the ‘Vihana EP’ is available to pre-order and pre-save.
