Because of Art releases 'Perception' with Shadow Child, the second single from his upcoming self-titled debut album.

In only three years since his label debut, British DJ and producer Alex Grover has emerged as one of Anjunadeep’s defining new voices. First signing in 2023 with the ‘Free EP’, Because of Art has gone on to deliver a streak of consistently acclaimed releases. The ‘Azure EP’ landed in 2024 featuring his second collaboration with James Grant and Jody Wisternoff, ‘HRSN’, the ‘Fired Up EP’ in summer 2025, a remix of Karyendasoul’s ‘B27’ and the ‘Falling For EP’ later that year, followed by double single ‘To The Heart / We Go Again’ with Steven Weston in early 2026. His distinctive blend of house, UK garage, breaks and ambient has earned widespread support from tastemakers including Pete Tong, Danny Howard, Sarah Story, Gorgon City, and Joris Voorn.

Alongside his rise as a producer, Alex’s presence across the global Anjunadeep touring calendar has rapidly expanded. His breakout year came in 2025, with highlight sets including Anjunadeep Open Air London inside the walls of the iconic Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, his second appearance at Anjunadeep Explorations in Albania and his debut at our Malta weekender. This year has seen bookings roll in for events across North America and Europe, including Miami, Washington D.C., Berlin, Manchester, his third Anjunadeep Explorations in Albania, the Malta weekender, and The Gorge for ABGT700.

Because of Art’s self-titled debut album is the story of a life lived truly immersed in music. Before he was the artist on stage, Alex Grover was the person in the crowd - collecting records at Phonica and Rough Trade, discovering UK club culture as a teenager at Ministry of Sound and fabric, and following the sounds, scenes and artists that defined each era of his journey. Those formative years laid the foundations for a career that has taken Alex from local DJ to global touring artist, while moving through many different corners of electronic music as both a fan and creator.

‘Because of Art’ features a wide array of collaborators and genres that come together as Alex’s Grover’s sound. Featuring Blair, Shadow Child, Fourth Daughter, Qrion, Kate Ireland, Dosem and Ayah Marar, and spanning house, garage, breakbeat, drum & bass, ambient and beyond, the album brings together the influences, dancefloors and memories that have shaped the way Alex hears and creates. From the sounds that first inspired him to the ideas captured in the notebooks that accompany his creative process, ‘Because of Art’ is Alex Grover taking stock of 25 years spent inside electronic music and club culture; a record where every chapter of his story finds its place.
