Electronic music pioneers Hybrid rework Planet Of Souls’ driving indie track ‘Beneath The Silence’.

Planet Of Souls is the collaborative project of producers Paul Rogers and Tom Barlow, blending cinematic songwriting with electronic textures inspired by the ’90s and ’00s. Though the project is new, both bring significant pedigree: Rogers has collaborated with UNKLE, Sasha, Pete Tong and Gorillaz, earning support from BBC Radio 1 and SiriusXM, while Barlow’s productions have featured on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat imprint with support from Carl Cox. Since launch, Planet Of Souls have received coverage from BBC Radio 1, NOTION and DMY, with debut single ‘One’ featured in 'Greys Anatomy' in January 2026 and Netflix’s 'The Survivor', which reached #2 globally last year.

Samsaruh is an Australian vocalist, songwriter and producer whose work spans contemporary songwriting, electronic collaboration and cinematic sound. She has toured extensively across Australia and performed at major festivals including Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival, Groovin the Moo and NYE on the Hill, supporting artists such as John Butler Trio, Birds of Tokyo, Dean Lewis, Peking Duk and San Cisco. Her music has topped triple j and US college radio charts, earning multiple #1 and “most played” placements. As a collaborator, she has worked with producers and artists across Australia and the US, contributing vocals and writing across electronic, pop, rock and orchestral projects. In recent years, she has expanded her practice into sound-focused and acoustic work, collaborating with artists including Planet of Souls, Franko Heke and Cymatic Harmony.

Bristol-based composers and production duo Hybrid are regarded as pioneers of cinematic electronic music, known for blending orchestral arrangements with breakbeat and progressive electronic production. Across a career spanning over two decades, they have scored films including Fast & Furious, X-Men, Hercules and Man On Fire, while also remixing artists including U2, Moby and Alanis Morissette. Their productions and live shows have earned long-standing support across BBC Radio 1, KCRW and global electronic audiences, cementing their status as one of electronic music’s most influential crossover acts.

On their remix of ‘Beneath The Silence’, Hybrid take the original into darker, bass-heavy territory, pairing driving rhythms and cinematic textures with Samsaruh’s powerful vocal. Keeping the vocal at the centre, the duo push the track towards their signature late-night listening style, while retaining the energy of the original.
