Multi-instrumentalist and producer obli releases his debut single on Anjunachill, a soft electronica track titled ‘Victoria’. 

Hailing from Newark, Ohio and now based in Los Angeles, obli brings over 15 years of touring, studio work and musical experience into a solo project that blends sample-driven electronica, warm textures and emotive songwriting. The obli project is centered around dynamic sample work and subtle textures outputted through an electronic lens. “obli is me,” he exclaims. “All of the music I’ve played and listened to brought me to this point creatively. It is the sum of my past and present as well as the art I’ve made thus far. It feels personal, warm, and deep.”  

He began his career touring with Sonny Moore, aka Skrillex, before going on to spend years on the road and in the studio with Dead Sara and playing guitar for multi-platinum, GRAMMY-nominated superstar Julia Michaels. Whilst obli started as a side project in 2019, it quickly gathered momentum when his debut release was spotted in a mix by Mild Minds, leading to a signing with ODESZA’s Foreign Family Collective. Since then, obli has released a diverse array of songs, receiving support from radio, press and music tastemakers such as Zane Lowe (Apple One), BBC Radio (Jack Saunders, Lauren Laverne, Annie Mac, Sian Eleri, Craig Charles), Double J, Wonderland, NOTION, Line Of Best Fit, Rufus Du Sol, Lane 8, ODESZA and more.

As a live performer, obli has recently toured North America supporting BAYNK and performed headline shows including an EP launch at Barboza in Seattle. Now stepping into his next chapter, obli continues to refine a sound that feels personal, warm and deeply human - electronic music built from lived experience.
