British-Indian composer and pianist Cephas Azariah reunites with acclaimed singer-songwriter Elle Limebear for their delicate and deeply moving new single ‘searching’, out now on Anjunachill.

The pair first collaborated on their 2023 EP ‘if I can be honest’, a captivating introduction to their magical pairing that blended Cephas’ signature ambient-electronic production and elegant piano work with Elle’s stunning, emotive vocals. Both artists have continued to shine in their own right: Cephas released his debut album ‘Joy Paradox’ in November 2024, earning support from BBC 6 Music, Wonderland, CLASH Magazine, and GRAMMY-nominated composer Ólafur Arnalds.

Built around a piano part recorded years ago, ‘searching' is intentionally tempo-free, creating space for the listener to process and reflect. Mellow and comforting, Elle’s vocals carry the music towards the “horizon”, while the repeated ostinato provides a familiar anchor.

“The song sheds light on the journey of grief,” Cephas says. "We’re always searching, but grief opens the chasm wider, breaking down the strongest walls and leaving us to wander home to horizon and back again. Both are needed.”
