Anhad + Tanner arrive on Anjunadeep Explorations with the ‘Silent Days EP’.
Based between Delhi, India and Durham, North Carolina, Anhad + Tanner are a fusion duo who combine their respective musical backgrounds to create incredible new soundscapes. WIth Anhad’s background in Asian underground music and Tanner’s in contemporary jazz and Western classic, together they have created a unique blend of Indian electronica, fueled by their shared passion for musical exploration and a deep reverence for Hindustani traditions.
In 2020, Anhad + Tanner introduced themselves to the world with their debut record, ‘In Other Words’, which served as a statement of intent for their creative and artistic direction. The release received critical acclaim from both Mixmag Asia, who included the pair in 2020’s ‘Best Albums of the Year’, and Rolling Stone India, who awarded them with Producer of the Year and Folk-Fusion Artist of the Year at their annual digital award show series, The Indies. Anhad + Tanner have since returned to Mixmag Asia with a guest mix and full press feature in 2021. Their sophomore album came this summer, titled ‘Still But Moving’ and comprising seven compositions with a diverse lineup of traditional singers and instrumentalists.
